1963: An idea is born ...

2004: The electronic cigarette comes true

Four years later, the Lik dream becomes reality when the first electronic cigarettes are manufactured under the name "Ruyan", which means "like smoking" and forwarded to the Chinese market.

2005 - 2007: The electronic cigarette arrives in Europe and America.

This prototype made its appearance in Europe, where smokers are a large portion of the population with the hope that it will meet their need for smoking with something less harmful. Also, the electronic cigarette is more economical than the traditional, so quickly gained the interest and confidence of European smokers and expand the US market.

2008: High demand brings even greater supply.

2009 - 2010: The first reactions, the laws and prohibitions.

The effort to ban the circulation of e-cigs, began with the argument that nicotine is a drug, and therefore, since the electronic cigarette contains nicotine, should have a marketing authorization. Why not apply the same for traditional cigarettes that contain nicotine?

Naturally, the e-cigarette companies reacted and vindicated after the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) was forced to retreat under judgment. Of course, this decision in no way affected the media which continued to publish false announcements on risks of the product to create doubts in public. This resulted in the reduction of the electronic cigarette sales and create a negative impression to consumers.

Like that presented the need to create groups / communities consisted of "steamer" and aimed to reasonable exchange of information and personal experiences as a way out against the ban.

2011 - 2012: The scientific community supports the "steaming".

To meet the ever increasing needs of "steaming", the electronic cigarette devices rapidly evolve thus circulate already marketed devices 3rd and 4th generation. The next step is to create devices that can protect the user from misuse, automatically.
